Meet the Dietitian
Jackie Jones, MS, RD, is the Sodexo Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Wellness Manager for 513 Culinary Group. Jackie’s mission is to support University of Cincinnati students on their wellness and nutrition journey. She is a food allergy and food safety expert and assists with special dietary needs through confidential consultations. Jackie actively promotes healthy eating and wellness through nutrition expos, snack-and-learns, social media, virtual contests, and more. She also serves as a guest speaker for health panels, classes, and meetings, participates in wellness fairs, and offers sports nutrition.
We take pride in serving you wholesome ingredients, preparing recipes accurately, and providing nutritional analysis and ingredient statements through our online menus and nutrition calculator. From our general manager to our frontline servers, we work carefully to address food allergies, celiac diets, and other special dietary needs. We want to meet one-on-one with anyone who has individual dining needs to ensure that your dining experience is safe, delicious, and social. Simple Servings
Simple Servings is our allergen-safe dining option at Center Court for guests with food allergies or gluten intolerance. This station also appeals to those who prefer simple foods. The menu items are free from peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, wheat, soy, milk products, eggs, sesame, and gluten-containing ingredients, and are prepared in a dedicated, separate kitchen. The simple, nutritious meals are prepared by staff members carefully trained to avoid cross-contact with food allergens. Simple Zone
Simple Zone is a “pantry” where food items needed by customers with celiac disease or food allergies can be housed with precautions against cross-contact found inside of On The Green. This special area gives students the ability to obtain foods that are prepared without gluten, peanuts, tree-nuts and dairy.
Mindful
Mindful is Sodexo's health and wellness approach that helps you make healthy choices second nature! We are committed to creating healthy environments for our customers. Central to this effort is providing healthy, nutritious foods. The result of this initiative is an approach that focuses on the transparency of ingredients, delicious food, satisfying portions, and clarity in messaging so that you can make Mindful choices!
Mindful offerings meet stringent nutritional criteria based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Each meal part is limited in calories, has fewer than 30% of calories from fat, fewer than 10% of calories from saturated fat, and is restricted in sodium and cholesterol. Look for the Mindful icon to indulge in the healthy and delicious items offered at each meal.
Menu items with the vegetarian icon contain no meat, fish, or poultry, or any meat products such as soup base. Our vegetarian offerings meet the needs of lacto-ovo vegetarians and may include eggs and/or dairy products.
Vegan offerings contain no meat, fish, eggs, milk, or other animal-derived products such as honey and sugar.
There is also a plant-based option that contains no meat, fish, eggs, or milk, but may contain honey or sugar
Vegetarian
