Special Events in Dining
The 513 Culinary Group is committed to enriching lives, strengthening communities and preserving our planet. Our services extend beyond the plate and embody our dedication to the well-being of individuals, community and our environment. Here you will find information about observing different cultural celebrations and religious holidays through on-campus dining at the University of Cincinnati.
Spring Semester:
Ramadan (February 17 - March 22)
In observance of Ramadan, the dining team is adjusting our offerings for our guests. Beginning Tuesday, February 17, both CenterCourt's Showcase station and MarketPointe's Good Vibes station will be transformed into Suhoor bars where guests can grab a green OZZI To-Go box to fill up on Halal snacks and Suhoor friendly options during our regular dinner service hours. Additionally, the Caio Pasta station at MarketPointe will feature Halal meatballs, and pizza stations at CenterCourt, MarketPointe, and On The Green will offer Halal pepperoni pizza throughout the duration of Ramadan. Grill stations at CenterCourt, On The Green, and MarketPointe will also feature Halal burgers and chicken. Lastly, Halal Shack inside of Tangeman University Center will extend hours of operation until 7:00 P.M. from February 17 - March 7, and until 8P.M. from March 8 - March 22.

Lent (February 18 - April 2)
Beginning February 18, we’re updating our dining program to support guests observing Lent by offering fish every Friday for lunch and dinner at the grill stations in CenterCourt, MarketPointe, and On The Green.

Fall Semester:
Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15)
In observance of Hispanic Heritage Month, the dining team is hosting mulitple events to celebrate this region of the world, it's people, and it's flavors. Join us for Sabores & Loteria at MarketPointe on September 15 for food-themed games and a flavorful special menu from the Y'Mas Station or at Monday Fresca, our Agua Fresca feature at CenterCourt on October 13. To round out the month of celebration, we're also featuring Elotes Calientes at CenterCourt's Showcase Station all day on October 15.
Diwali (October 20 - October 21)
In observance of Diwali, Choolaah at CenterCourt will be offering a special menu, including Mango Lassi, during Diwali. Guests are also welcome to join us in celebration at CenterCourt on October 21 with Diwali themed crafts.

Halloween (October 31)
In This Halloween, join the dining team for "Step Right Up", an exciting circus themed experience, at MarketPointe. We'll be featuring fair favorites like popcorn and cotton candy during lunch, and also hosting an online costume contest through our Instagram @uofcincydining. Vote for your favorite and submit your own costume throughout the day for a chance to win big!
