Special Events in Dining
The 513 Culinary Group is committed to enriching lives, strengthening communities and preserving our planet. Our services extend beyond the plate and embody our dedication to the well-being of individuals, community and our environment. Here you will find information about observing different cultural celebrations and religious holidays through on-campus dining at the University of Cincinnati.
Passover (April 12 - April 20)
In observance of Passover, we've partnered up with a local kosher kitchen, Cafe Alma, to provide Passover-friendly dinner options to students, faculty, and staff on campus, served out of Bearcats Cafe from Monday, April 14 to Friday, April 18 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. This dinner service is available for one meal swipe for all meal plan holders, or for $13.25 per meal for all non-meal plan holders.

Black History Month - February
Whether you're stopping into Tangeman Univeristy Center for a quick bite or dining with friends at MarketPointe, there are lots of ways to celebrate Black History Month on campus! Check out Chef Sly's "Mardi Gras Burger", available from February 1 - March 4, only at Cincy Grill in TUC.
Looking for a more hands-on celebration? This year, the 513 Culinary Group has partnered up with the African American Cultural and Resource Center to compete in the 2025 Golden Foot Soul Food Cook-Off. Check out this event on February 8 at the African American Cultural and Resource Center at the University of Cincinnati. Learn more about the African American Cultural Resource Center here.
On Monday, February 10 the 513 Culinary Group will be celebrating our partnership with Chef Jeff Harris, James Beard Foundation Award Nominee and Founder of Nolia Kitchen, by featuring his showstopping menu at MarketPointe for lunch and dinner, and raising awareness about this Cincinnati staple.
"Chef Jeff Harris’ menu is inspired by his upbringing in New Orleans. The atmosphere, the food, and the hospitality are all inspired by those trips to the candy lady, corner store meals, and travels throughout the south—from Texas to the Carolinas."
